Question: |
Answer: |
|
How
thick must work-pieces be for the use of INVIS?
 |
8
mm joiners are
for work-pieces as of 13 and 12 mm joiners for work-pieces
as of 19 mm thickness. In the interest of the highest
possible tightening force, we recommend to always use the biggest
possible type of joiners.
The
smaller the distance between the INVIS actuator and the joiner, the higher
is the resulting tightening force. Remark: When working in
thickness above 40 mm, the maximum distance of 20 mm between centre
of the joiner and the surface of the work-piece must be
observed! |
|
What
do I need to observe when I use the
actuator?
 |
Positioning: In
order to operate the joiner, the actuator must be positioned parallel
to the joiner. Remark:
Check the direction of rotation on a separate joining element – adjust the
direction on the actuator by choosing the position of the switch.
Fastening the joiner: Move the
actuator slightly side wards during the fastening process in order to
obtain best possible impact on the joiner. A clicking sound indicates that
the joiner is fastened. Duration
of the fastening:
The clicking sound of the impact wrench mechanism of INVIS will
indicate the end of the fastening process (after approx. 5 seconds) and
will give you clear feed-back that the joint is closed.
|
|
|
The
distance between actuator and the centre of the joiner must not exceed
20 mm! With increasing distance between joiner and actuator, we
recommend to chose a slower speed on the actuator (intense knocking sound
of the joiner = best possible RPM).
|
|
|
Make
sure the battery is charged.
Check
whether or not the maximum distance between actuator and joiner has been
observed.
Check
the correct position of the actuator relative to the joining element; they
must be aligned in a parallel way.
Please
be aware that the knocking sound only appears once the screw of the joiner
is fully turned into the opposite piece (usually after 3 – 5
seconds).
If
the fault persists, please contact your nearest INVIS outlet. |
|
|
Identify
position of the joiner with the magnet finder. Ensure you have chosen the
right direction of rotation to undo the joining element (check the
direction on a separate joiner)
Position
the actuator so that the knocking sound can be heard
clearly.
Keep
the switch pressed down until the clicking sound stops. If the fastening
is very tight, the INVIS actuator must be operated for
longer. |
